Safari Ltd. Green Bean Life Cycle

$11.95

Set of 4 miniatures: seed, germination, seedling and Green Bean plant, which represent the life cycle.

They represent the life cycle of a Green Bean plant:

  1. The life cycle of a bean, or seed, begins when it falls to the ground from a mature plant. The seed is wrapped in a nutritional tissue that contains the stored food that the bean uses to grow.

  2. Germination, the process in which the bean sprouts and develops its roots, begins after a week.

  3. Once it emerges from the surface, the shoot develops leaves that contain chlorophyll. Chlorophyll contains pigments that take energy from the sun and convert water and carbon dioxide into sugars through photosynthesis, which allows the plant to feed itself and continue its development.

  4. Then the plant produces flowers that create pods where there are beans that will end up falling to the ground, germinate and start the life cycle again.

The figures are made of resistant plastic and are perfect for children to know the different stages that the living beings that surround them go through to develop, know their names and become familiar with nature and our environment.
