Chema Heras tells in “Abuelos” the tender story of two old people, Manuel and Manuela, who naturally accept the traces of the years. Manuela is flirtatious like a little girl and Manuel loves to dance with her. Through a cumulative structure and a poetic text, “Abuelos” teaches us to find beauty through the eyes of love, shows us all the affection that can exist when the body withers and reveals to us the advantages of living with a smile on the lips.

Rosa Osuna's illustrations highlight, through watercolor, the lyrical meaning of the text, with a simple and expressive style of soft colors, which hint at the sweetness of the characters.
